Our Podcast
Our Podcast homes in on the struggles teenagers face with valuing mental health. Teenagers not only deal with pressure from school, but also with extracurriculars, their social life, college, and much more. As an outcome, Teenagers are tasked to live so many different lives each day. Teachers, parents, and coaches put the weight of the world on teens, and teens not only feel that they have to carry that weight, but that they have to carry this weight all alone. As a result, the one aspect of our life that we should be prioritizing, mental health, is now the least of our concerns. Our podcast not only emphasizes on why mental health is extremely important, especially for teenagers, but we also share personal experiences of the pressures we go through as high school students, what other students go through, and ways we can conquer this challenge. Ultimately, this will be a resource for kids to find and use different strategies and plans to help them get through the challenges they face. More importantly, we want to build a community, help students find a place of comfort, and highlight that students are not on their own.
We are Wyatt and Henry Orraca-Cecil, two teenage brothers from Massachusetts, looking to create a change. Our mission is to create and develop a podcast where teenage kids can come and relate to the mental health issues that come from being a student, but also carry out other extracurricular activities.
